Job description
Position Overview
The Assistant Director of eSports at Trine University in Angola, Indiana is responsible for supporting the management and daily functions of the university’s Esports program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily activities relating to Esports players, including academic monitoring and team organization for practice and competitions.
- Plan and coordinate community engagement and service efforts aligned with Trine's Esports strategic goals.
- Manage all team functions in accordance with university, conference, and club policies, and accompany players to tournaments and events.
- Supervise operations of the Esports arena, ensuring all materials and facilities are maintained, event-ready, and welcoming to visitors and guests.
- Organize and schedule community initiatives hosted within the Esports arena.
- Assist with recruiting by supporting the Director of Esports in strategy, participating in campus recruitment, and identifying promising Esports students and recruits.
- Produce and manage live streams using vMix software for Esports and other broadcasts; create digital assets for livestreams and social media content.
- Handle communications across various social media platforms, including designing flyers and promotional materials.
- Contribute to special events organized by the Academic department and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience producing live streams, preferably with vMix software.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting gaming computers.
- Familiarity with graphic design and digital content creation tools, with a preference for experience using Canva.
