About the Role
You will report to the Team Lead and join a collaborative team focused on strengthening strategic relationships with important external stakeholders. The role is centred on improving connectivity, supporting companies with international expansion, and helping Singapore capture global opportunities as an IP hub in line with the Singapore IP Strategy 2030.
In this position, you will help uncover growth opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, build awareness of the organisation’s capabilities, and drive adoption of the services provided by the IPOS Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and carry out market-entry and market-development plans.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners in targeted overseas markets, including businesses, public agencies, law firms, and trade bodies.
- Form partnerships that generate sustainable value and open up new business opportunities for the IPOS Group.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence to guide positioning, outreach, and business development priorities.
- Plan and execute marketing approaches suited to different audiences, industries, and regions.
- Represent the IPOS Group at events and conferences, including presenting information and engaging with stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure business development efforts align with organisational objectives.
- Track, assess, and report on performance outcomes, including pipeline movement and impact indicators.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, International Relations, or a closely related field.
- Six to eight years of experience in business development, partnerships, or client engagement, ideally within legal, intellectual property, or professional services.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with proven negotiation and relationship-building capability.
- A strategic mindset combined with a practical, execution-focused approach.
- High drive, ambition, and resilience, with a willingness to support innovation and business growth.
- Self-starter who can spot opportunities and improve processes proactively.
- Careful, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality work.
- Ability to use presentation tools, data analytics, and data visualisation effectively will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required by the role.
