Job description
Position Overview
This role sits within the Office of High School Initiatives and Dual Enrollment and provides leadership, planning, and operational direction for dual enrollment, Early College, and dual credit programs. The position is based at the assigned campus or work site and plays a key part in expanding access, improving student success, and strengthening partnerships with local schools and other education partners.
Key Duties
- Build, launch, and oversee dual enrollment programs in collaboration with nearby high schools.
- Design, launch, and oversee Early College initiatives with high schools and higher education partners.
- Provide direct supervision to the high school coordinator.
- Track Early College student progress, document advising notes, and identify suitable academic support options.
- Lead recruitment efforts for new dual enrollment students and coordinate with school district partners and internal college departments.
- Create and carry out strategies that strengthen retention and academic achievement for Early College and dual enrollment students.
- Step in to manage departmental operations when the director is unavailable.
- Develop outreach and marketing plans that explain dual enrollment opportunities to students, parents, and high school leaders.
- Facilitate workshops, information sessions, and training for students, families, and educators on program benefits and eligibility requirements.
- Gather, review, and interpret data on enrollment, student outcomes, and performance trends to guide decisions and improvement efforts.
- Maintain alignment with state rules, accreditation expectations, and institutional policies tied to dual enrollment.
- Prepare internal and external reports, documentation, grant materials, progress updates, and evaluation summaries.
- Build and sustain relationships with school districts, community groups, and other partners to widen access to dual enrollment opportunities.
- Support students, parents, high school advisors, principals, and staff through the admissions process, including the dual enrollment grant.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in higher education student services, program coordination, or a similar role, or experience coordinating early post-secondary opportunities. Five years of experience in dual enrollment, college readiness, or secondary/postsecondary education systems is preferred. Strong preference is given to candidates who are fluent in English and Arabic or Spanish.
Skills and Abilities
The position calls for strong collaboration skills, data analysis capability, report writing, program evaluation, problem-solving, organization, multitasking, and the ability to work independently as well as in teams. Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems, understand relevant state and federal regulations, and demonstrate leadership. Travel to partner schools, community events, and meetings is required as needed, and some evening or weekend work may be necessary.
