About the Role
The Assistant / Deputy Director in the Digital Innovation Office (DIO) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital supports the Centre for Healthcare Innovation’s vision by steering digital, automation, and artificial intelligence advancements within the NHG Health system. Reporting to leadership, this position ensures digital transformation is deeply embedded across organisational practices, leading to substantial cultural and operational change within healthcare delivery.
Mission and Digital Transformation Overview
The Centre for Healthcare Innovation champions healthcare progress through the promotion of innovation, collaborative partnerships, and the continuous development of technology-driven solutions. The DIO orchestrates NHG Health’s shift towards digital-first healthcare, focusing on workforce upskilling, robust AI integration, and the cultivation of institution-led technological enhancements.
Main Responsibilities
- Construct and implement frameworks to build digital, automation, and AI-related capabilities, ensuring staff readiness and aligning with established AI governance protocols.
- Develop and support networks of clinical AI fellows, AI champions, and citizen developers to foster decentralised innovation, effective governance, and community empowerment.
- Lead large-scale digital initiatives that transform community care, working closely with Population Health Digital Services to embed new technologies and practices across the system.
- Oversee the Automation Centre of Excellence to evolve from a centrally managed model to self-service automation within teams, assuring compliance, measurable outcomes, and sustained impact.
- Engage stakeholders from various departments and institutions, galvanising leadership and crafting a shared narrative around digital transformation in healthcare.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10 to 15 years of proven leadership in advancing digital or AI technology adoption, especially in workforce transformation within large organisations.
- Demonstrated expertise in systemic thinking, organisational design, and overseeing governance structures for technology initiatives.
- History of successfully influencing and managing diverse stakeholders across multifaceted and large-scale environments.
- Deep knowledge in designing and deploying scalable capability programs that facilitate widespread adoption and culture shifts.
