About the Role
Tata CLiQ Fashion is the digital commerce arm of the Tata Group, spanning categories such as Fashion, Electronics, Home, and Beauty. Within Tata CLiQ Luxury, the focus is on a more considered form of luxury built around authenticity, craftsmanship, quality, and a calm shopping experience. The platform aims to deliver premium brand curation, thoughtfully designed brand stores, luxury delivery and unboxing, and personalized privilege programs supported by relationship managers.
What You Will Do
As an Assistant Category Manager for Luxury Apparel, you will own category growth, profit and loss, and the overall customer experience for your assigned segment. The role combines commercial ownership, brand development, assortment planning, customer issue resolution, category marketing, and operational coordination.
- Take full ownership of category P&L and work toward achieving the planned sales targets.
- Improve profitability by negotiating stronger margins, securing brand-backed marketing support, and delivering on both topline and bottomline goals.
- Expand the brand portfolio by identifying and onboarding missing and relevant labels on the platform.
- Build a stronger and more competitive assortment across brands and sub-categories in partnership with the catalogue team.
- Identify customer pain points early and create solutions that improve satisfaction, reduce escalations, and support the target NPS.
- Work to bring down returns and cancellations within the category.
- Plan weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing calendars around luxury events and coordinate joint marketing plans with partner brands.
- Execute category initiatives with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of planned campaigns.
- Partner with CS, logistics, omni-channel, and finance teams to keep operations running efficiently and meet functional performance targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing brands through regular business reviews, feedback sharing, and actionable performance discussions.
- Serve as the main contact point for brand partners and support them proactively to avoid escalations.
- Lead the complete onboarding process for new brands, including assortment, pricing, marketing alignment, and launch coordination.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should bring a strong sense of ownership, a bias for action, and the ability to manage several priorities at once. The role requires solid analytical thinking, comfort with data, and the ability to translate category metrics into business decisions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive initiatives independently from start to finish.
- Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel; SQL is preferred.
- Good analytical ability with experience linking data to retail and business outcomes.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Good understanding of the fashion industry and interest in fashion brands and trends.
- Experience in online retail, especially in fashion categories, is preferred.
- Apparel category experience is preferred.
- Experience in luxury fashion will be an added advantage.
