About Tata CLiQ Luxury
Tata CLiQ is the Tata Group’s flagship digital commerce platform, spanning multiple categories including fashion, electronics, home, and beauty.
Tata CLiQ Luxury is built around the evolving idea of luxury in India, with an emphasis on thoughtful curation, authenticity, timeliness, quality, and a refined shopping journey inspired by the principles of slow commerce. The platform focuses on premium brand selection, brand storefronts, luxury delivery and unboxing, and tailored privilege programs supported by relationship managers.
Role Overview
Assistant Category Managers at Tata CLiQ Luxury are accountable for the category’s growth, profitability, and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of the category’s P&L and work toward full achievement of sales targets while improving margins, securing brand-funded marketing support, and balancing top-line and bottom-line goals.
- Identify gaps in the assortment and bring in the right luxury brands to strengthen the portfolio.
- Build and maintain a strong, competitive product selection across brands and sub-categories by coordinating closely with the catalogue team.
- Address customer friction points proactively, manage escalations, support target NPS levels, and help reduce returns and cancellations.
- Plan and run weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing calendars aligned to luxury event plans, then coordinate joint campaigns with partner brands and internal teams.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as customer support, logistics, omni-channel, and finance to keep operations smooth and meet performance benchmarks across functions.
- Develop strong working relationships with brand partners, review business performance regularly, share insights, and act as the primary contact for all partner needs with minimal escalation.
- Own the complete onboarding journey for new brands, from launch planning and assortment alignment to pricing, marketing coordination, and execution with internal stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong sense of ownership and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Capacity to handle several priorities at once and keep projects moving end-to-end.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability with the skill to translate data into practical retail and category decisions.
- Excellent written and spoken communication.
- Sound understanding of the fashion industry and a genuine interest in luxury fashion, brands, and trends.
Qualifications and Experience
This role is best suited to professionals with 3 to 6 years of experience in online retail, particularly within fashion categories. Prior exposure to apparel categories is preferred, and luxury fashion experience will be an added advantage.
