About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Brand Manager to contribute to building and growing Medalio, our new mid-premium hospitality brand. Medalio targets the modern Indian traveler who desires hotels that break away from generic experiences, emphasizing warmth, thoughtful design, cultural relevance, and genuine hospitality both on-site and digitally. The role is an integral part of the Brand Marketing team, involving responsibilities related to brand development, customer insight, brand expression, digital presence, in-hotel experience, hotel launch coordination, and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support shaping Medalio’s positioning, audience insights, brand narrative, tone, and customer experience philosophy.
- Define Medalio’s unique differentiation within the mid-premium hospitality landscape through research on consumers, competitors, culture, and category trends.
- Create reference materials such as moodboards, brand audits, and point-of-view documents to refine the brand identity.
- Monitor guest behavior, reviews, feedback, and travel trends to infuse consumer insights into brand decisions.
- Assist in preparing brand presentations, internal communications, launch narratives, and strategic documents.
- Help bring Medalio’s brand pillars—Rest, Flow, and Spark—to life across hotel spaces and digital platforms.
- Develop guest-facing experiences that manifest the brand in lobbies, rooms, corridors, restaurants, signage, wayfinding, collateral, staff interactions, and local property details.
- Support digital experience design across the website, Google listings, OTA profiles, WhatsApp, email CRM flows, social media content, and post-stay engagement.
- Audit physical and digital touchpoints to maintain brand consistency and integrity.
- Map and enhance the customer journey covering discovery, booking, pre-arrival, check-in, stay, check-out, and post-stay phases to make the experience seamless and memorable.
- Collaborate with product, technology, operations, content, and design teams for guest-facing improvements.
- Lead brand rollouts for new Medalio hotel launches, managing readiness across signage, collateral, branding, digital assets, photos, guest communication, staff training, and launch events.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, agencies, and external partners to ensure timely and quality brand delivery.
- Evaluate implementation through mockups, site visits, checklists, and launch reviews to ensure brand consistency while allowing for property-specific character.
- Assist in planning and executing launch events and brand activations that convey Medalio’s personality beyond traditional openings.
- Manage event concepts, guest communication, vendor handling, content capture, and follow-ups, while driving amplification via social, PR, partnerships, community engagement, and internal teams.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Experience ranging from 1 to 3 years in brand marketing, consumer marketing, hospitality marketing, lifestyle branding, content, events, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of brand management including audience analysis, positioning, differentiation, tone of voice, customer journey, and maintaining brand consistency.
- Curiosity about consumer behavior, culture, travel patterns, and category changes.
- A refined sense of taste, language, design aesthetic, references, and brand experience evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage timelines, multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-team projects.
- Comfortable working across digital touchpoints like websites, OTAs, Google listings, WhatsApp and email communications, social media.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous settings where innovation and first-time initiatives are part of daily work.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools, Google Sheets, presentations, Canva, and similar productivity software for efficiency.
- Willingness to travel to various cities for hotel launches, property visits, brand audits, launch events, and on-site execution to uphold brand standards.
