Role Overview
The Assistant Brand Manager for Catelli will join the Barilla Marketing team in Toronto to aid in managing one of Canada's most respected food brands. This role involves supporting marketing initiatives across innovation, communications, retail activations, digital platforms, and e-commerce. The person will coordinate everyday marketing and project tasks, collaborating with Sales, Trade Marketing, Consumer Insights, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and external agencies to ensure successful execution aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Track brand performance, market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activity, delivering monthly updates with actionable recommendations.
- Assist in implementing annual marketing strategies and integrated campaigns spanning digital, social media, e-commerce, retail media, shopper marketing, and in-store events.
- Manage the marketing budget by monitoring expenditures, processing invoices, maintaining reports, and ensuring fiscal accuracy.
- Support packaging development through project management, including timeline coordination, artwork approval, regulatory compliance, and consistency with brand standards.
- Collaborate with Sales and Trade Marketing to deploy display and point-of-sale materials enhancing retail presence.
- Oversee the brand’s organic social media content calendar, promoting ongoing communication and community engagement aligned with brand strategy.
- Maintain and optimize e-commerce product pages, ensuring accurate images, descriptions, and digital content that reflect brand guidelines.
- Coordinate projects with internal teams and external agencies to meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Assist in business reviews, campaign performance analyses, and post-launch evaluations, identifying improvements.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Up to two years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or early career roles in Brand Marketing, Consumer Packaged Goods, Category Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or similar functions. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong organizational and project management skills capable of handling multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient analytical abilities comfortable with interpreting business metrics and market research.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
- A proactive, inquisitive approach with enthusiasm for brand building and consumer behavior.
- Experience within the CPG industry is a plus.
