Role Overview
The Assistant Athletic Director collaborates closely with school leadership to recruit athletes, support coach development, and organize athletic events effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supervision of all home athletic contests.
- Recruit and oversee operations staff for home sporting events.
- Coordinate hiring and scheduling of game officials.
- Serve as the ticket manager for home competitions.
- Welcome and assist visiting teams, media, and families during events.
- Coordinate athletic schedules in partnership with school administrators.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to advance the district’s mission and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in coaching at the K-12 level.
- Familiarity with Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) regulations.
- Knowledge of Lansing School District Athletics policies.
- Availability to attend all home athletic events.
- Strong alignment and dedication to the district’s mission and vision.
