Job Overview

The role of Firefighter at Adani Airports involves prompt response to emergencies within airport premises, including aircraft and structural fires, hazardous substance incidents, and medical crises. This position ensures the protection and safety of passengers, crew, and staff through firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency medical support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly attend to aircraft emergencies, fires, medical situations, and hazardous incidents occurring on airport grounds.
  • Execute firefighting efforts utilizing water, foam, dry chemicals, and other agents to control and extinguish fires.
  • Conduct search and rescue operations in dangerous environments.
  • Provide initial medical assistance and basic life support until advanced care is available; aid in patient transport when necessary.
  • Carry out daily checks and maintenance on firefighting vehicles, equipment, and personal protective gear.
  • Maintain and manage firefighting inventory to guarantee readiness.
  • Engage in scheduled emergency drills, ICAO-mandated training, and other preparedness activities.
  • Document incidents, maintain training records, and log shift activities for audit compliance.
  • Comply fully with all firefighting and emergency response regulations and adhere to SOPs.
  • Identify and address hazards during routine inspections promptly.
  • Prepare precise reports and logs relating to incidents and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as airport operations, medical services, security, maintenance, and external partners including local fire departments, airlines, ground handling, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or an equivalent credential.
  • Certification from a recognized firefighting academy is mandatory.
  • 2 to 3 years of firefighting experience is required, with preference for those experienced in ARFF operations.

Stakeholder Interaction

The role involves teamwork with internal stakeholders like Duty Manager (ARFF), Airport Operations and Security, Emergency Medical Teams, ARFF crew, Engineering & Maintenance, and HSE teams, along with coordination with external entities such as local fire services, airlines, ground handling companies, equipment service providers, insurance firms, community leaders, and Civil Aviation authorities.
