Purchase Executive - Fire Fighting & Plumbing Solutions

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Purchase Executive who will oversee procurement activities of Fire Fighting, Plumbing, and MEP materials. The role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating costs, preparing purchase documentation, and ensuring materials are procured on time with quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify and process material indents from project and store teams.
• Evaluate quotations from various vendors and prepare comparative statements.
• Draft and issue purchase orders post necessary approvals.
• Procure items including fire fighting equipment, plumbing supplies, piping, valves, pumps, fittings, and other MEP materials.
• Identify and negotiate with vendors for optimum price, quality, and delivery conditions.
• Monitor supplier follow-ups to guarantee timely delivery of materials.
• Validate incoming materials against purchase orders and prepare Goods Receipt Notes.
• Coordinate procurement, invoice processing with stores, projects, and accounts departments.
• Reconcile purchase orders, goods receipt notes, invoices, and delivery challans prior to payment processing.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and all procurement documentation.
• Keep track of inventory levels to ensure timely restocking.
• Address supplier issues relating to pricing, quality, shortages, and delivery delays.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and project deadlines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within fire fighting, plumbing, MEP, HVAC, or construction sectors.
• Experience handling purchase orders, goods receipt notes, comparative statements, indent verification, vendor management, and material procurement.
