About the Artist Strategy TeamAt Warner Music New Zealand, our Artist Strategy team is central to the label, focusing on the long-term career growth of artists. We connect global affiliates, creative minds, and commercial teams to realize an artist's vision. The Import team, specifically, is a passionate group dedicated to breaking international music in the local market through collaboration, creative thinking, and a fan-first approach.
Your Role as Artist Strategy AssistantAs an Artist Strategy Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the Warner Music Australia & New Zealand International Artist Strategy team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the planning, implementation, and execution of innovative marketing plans for our international artist roster. This fast-paced role requires you to be the driving force behind campaign execution, coordinating digital product releases, global assets, and advertising deadlines. Key Responsibilities- Support Artist Strategy Managers and Executives in developing and delivering audience-centric marketing and artist strategies based on insights.
- Assist in managing project lifecycles by securing campaign assets, coordinating advertising materials, and briefing paid media campaigns.
- Handle daily financial administration, including processing purchase orders and distributing invoices in accordance with company procedures.
- Compile artist performance reports using proprietary tools, tracking consumption and audience data for stakeholders.
- Coordinate communications for international artists, managing release schedules, pitching to local partners, and monitoring performance.
- Provide administrative support for creative briefing and localization of assets for campaigns and artist channels.
- Offer on-site support at artist and fan events, coordinating vendors and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Partner with the e-commerce team to develop and promote exclusive products on D2C channels.
- Collaborate with other Assistants and Coordinators to provide administrative and reception support to the office manager as needed.
- Possess at least 1 year of early-career marketing or administrative experience in a creative, record label, or entertainment industry setting.
- Have prior experience with financial administration, such as processing invoices, purchase orders, or budget assistance.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit, building positive relationships internally and externally.
- Stay current with global industry trends, digital platforms, and social media landscapes.
- Exhibit a highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Show passion for international music, sensitivity to diverse audiences, and a proactive, fast-learning attitude.
- Experience with graphic design tools like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut or Premiere.
