This opportunity is for an experienced Art Director to help shape standout brand and product campaigns that feel fresh, strategic, and highly engaging. You’ll own the visual direction from the first idea through to delivery across multiple channels, maintaining a consistently high creative standard.
Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, you’ll collaborate with teams across the business and contribute to campaigns that reach well-known names in sport and television. The role focuses on crafting visually strong, insight-led creative that reflects brand values and responds to current trends in media and sports broadcasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with copywriters to build persuasive creative ideas and coordinate casting across broadcast, photo, and voiceover requirements.
- Showcase creative solutions to internal teams and clients, backing recommendations with clear reasoning and strategic insight.
- Prepare briefs for and coordinate with external partners such as directors, producers, illustrators, and photographers.
- Guide designers and finished artists through the production process, offering clear direction and quality control at each stage.
- Partner with account and traffic teams to track schedules, manage workflow, and provide realistic timing estimates.
- Collaborate with media planners and buyers to adapt integrated campaigns for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on active projects and participate in concept and research sessions to sharpen creative outcomes.
Experience and Requirements
- At least 5 years of art direction experience in an advertising or creative agency setting.
- Advanced ability with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Experience in 2D and 3D motion graphics, video editing, and image retouching will be viewed positively.
- Strong knowledge of core design principles, including colour theory, typography, perspective, and grid systems, plus broadcast and digital production workflows.
- Ability to manage several campaigns simultaneously, maintain excellent quality standards, and confidently direct freelancers and junior designers.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and people skills, with the confidence to advocate for ideas and handle complex stakeholder interactions.
- A collaborative approach and an understanding of what drives both clients and creatives across agency and broader business teams.
- Formal study in Arts, Advertising, Communications Design, or Creative Writing is desirable, as is completion of an industry program such as AWARD School.
- Genuine interest in entertainment, media, and sports broadcasting is strongly preferred.
- Applicants should submit a CV along with a showreel, website, or portfolio profile that demonstrates relevant creative work.
