About the Role
The Area Visual Merchandising Specialist will report to the Senior Regional Visual Merchandiser (West and East) and play a crucial part in elevating the store's visual appeal by regularly refreshing its look and feel. This position focuses on implementing the RESEC campaigns, managing zoning, and rolling out key brand initiatives across stores. The role demands maintaining an enhanced shopping experience and customer readiness through ongoing store visits and audits while nurturing creativity within the store teams through effective training for high standards in visual merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Uphold visual merchandising standards by conducting physical and virtual audits and providing training to store teams.
- Manage the ordering and installation process of VM supplies corresponding to seasonal and monthly updates throughout the region.
- Train store managers and support personnel on merchandising standards and fixture utilization techniques to enrich brand presentation.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports to the Head Office, integrating received feedback into operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors supplying branded visual materials such as hangers, mannequins, and print media.
- Encourage store-level VM innovation through competitions, audits, and establishing VM captains.
- Support the implementation of key initiatives across all store formats while aligning budget allocations with overarching business goals.

Organizational Interactions
- Collaborate internally with Visual Merchandising, Sales Operations, Project, and Merchandising teams.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in visual merchandising or managerial role within retail environments.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating visual design expertise in retail spaces including window displays and interior arrangements.
- Practical experience in field merchandising with proficiency in space utilization and signage.
- Strong command of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other visual design software.
- Updated knowledge of current trends in visual merchandising and retail presentation.
- Understanding of photography to complement visual displays.
- Creative thinker with innovation at the core of their approach.
- Data-driven with the ability to analyze sales and merchandising reports effectively.
- Educational background in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communication, or related fields at bachelor’s or master’s level.
- Excellent numerical skills to manage and assess execution reports.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
