Job description

About the Role

The Area Retail Associate (ARA) operates under the guidance of the Area Sales Manager for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, based in Hyderabad. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, maintaining brand standards, and enhancing sales performance throughout several PUMA SIS locations within the assigned territory. The ARA serves as a vital link between store teams and area leadership, facilitating execution, training, and compliance at the stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support to multiple SIS locations to ensure seamless functioning.
  • Monitor store-level key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist sales staff in achieving their targets by enhancing service quality and selling capabilities.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and communicate insights with the Area Sales Manager to strategize improvements.
  • Oversee visual merchandising standards and coordinate seasonal updates, promotional campaigns, and new product introductions with the visual merchandising team.
  • Conduct audits of store displays, identifying areas for improvement and proposing corrective measures.
  • Support inventory management activities including stock replenishment, inventory counts, and minimizing stock shrinkage.
  • Recognize fast and slow-moving products and assist in balancing inventory across stores, reporting any stock discrepancies to management.
  • Deliver on-floor training sessions for new hires and existing retail associates, focusing on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
  • Support performance evaluation and coaching initiatives for sales staff.

Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in retail operations, preferably with exposure to multi-store, SIS, large format retail (LFR), or supervisory roles.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent travel across assigned stores on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and peak retail periods.
  • Preferred educational qualification is a graduate degree in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related fields.
