Overview
The Area Head for Electric Vehicle (EV) Skilling is primarily responsible for establishing and managing cutting-edge EV Training Centres serving aspiring EV technicians and industry collaborators within an assigned region. This role involves comprehensive planning, execution, and supervision of EV skill development programs to guarantee premium training quality, effective partnerships with the EV industry, and successful candidate placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate EV training facilities aimed at preparing candidates for technician roles in the EV sector.
- Design and execute outreach initiatives to attract and mobilize individuals for EV skill development programs.
- Uphold high standards in delivering quality EV training and oversee smooth centre operations.
- Forge and maintain robust alliances with EV manufacturers, dealerships, service centres, charging infrastructure companies, and prospective employers.
- Meet goals related to candidate enrolment, certification, placements, and overall centre performance.
- Ensure the availability, upkeep, and maintenance of EV lab equipment including batteries, charging units, tools, and workshop infrastructure.
- Coordinate placements by engaging with EV original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), dealerships, service centres, fleet operators, and infrastructure providers.
- Supervise practical training activities such as lab sessions and workshops to maintain industry-standard EV skill impartation.
- Organize employer engagement events like guest lectures, industry visits, and placement drives to link trainees with suitable employment opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Good understanding of the Electric Vehicle ecosystem and industry trends.
- Experience in conducting EV related training, automotive instruction, or skill development programs.
- Proven abilities in budgeting, operational management, stakeholder engagement, and leading a team.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile, Electronics Engineering or related field is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree such as MBA or M.S.W. in Management or Social Work is an advantage.
- Certification related to the Electric Vehicle domain is preferred.
Professional Experience
A minimum of 3 years managing technical or EV training centres, automotive institutes, or skill development operations is required, with total experience ranging between 3 and 8 years.
