Role Summary
ACN is seeking a full-time Architectural Draftsperson for an on-site position in Australia. The role centers on producing precise architectural drawings, developing layouts, making design revisions, and checking that all work aligns with project requirements and relevant compliance standards. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to turn design ideas into technical documentation, solve drafting-related issues, and help keep projects on schedule.
Core Duties
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans.
- Create and refine layout drawings based on project needs.
- Update designs and make modifications as projects evolve.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation meet specification and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project teams to convert concepts into technical plans.
- Assist in resolving design and drafting challenges.
- Contribute to meeting project deadlines and delivery timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Skill in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of architectural concepts, building regulations, and construction materials.
- Experience preparing construction documentation and technical specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities for cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot and solve design issues while maintaining compliance.
- Formal education in architecture, drafting, or a closely related discipline.
- Background in construction or architectural design is beneficial.
- Capability to work in an on-site setting and deliver within deadlines.
