Role Overview

The Pleasanton office is hiring an Architectural Designer/Drafter to support residential work. In this role, you will collaborate with the project team to develop design and technical solutions under general supervision. This position is hybrid and requires at least 3 onsite days each week at the Pleasanton, CA office.

What You Will Do

• Contribute to a range of tasks on small projects or on defined portions of larger assignments by applying standard architectural methods.
• Create design layouts and related features by researching, organizing, and documenting information needed for the assigned work.
• Check drawings and design work against established standards and specifications, and make revisions as instructed.
• Support project teams and other colleagues as needed.

What You Should Bring

• Working knowledge and practical ability in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and presentation material preparation.
• Strong analytical ability, independence in thinking, and a reliable approach to following through on tasks.
• Clear verbal and visual communication skills, along with solid organization and teamwork capabilities.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of post-graduate professional experience, or relevant A/E/C internship experience.
• A Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree is required.
• Recent experience on architectural projects in the United States.
• Knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting procedures, and construction practices.
• Commitment to continued growth as a designer, architect, or planner.
• Interest in pursuing licensure is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions; visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary offered for this role is $70,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Final placement within that range will be based on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and project complexity, with the top end reserved for candidates who meet all requirements.
