Role Overview

The team is looking for an Architectural Designer/Drafter to support the Civic & Community practice in Irvine, California. In this role, you will work with a collaborative team to develop design and technical solutions under general supervision.

This position is hybrid and requires at least 3 days per week onsite at the Irvine office.

Key Duties

• Support smaller assignments or specific portions of larger projects using established architectural methods.
• Create design layouts and features by gathering, organizing, and documenting information needed for assigned work.
• Check drawings and design documents to confirm they align with standards and specifications, then carry out changes as instructed.
• Assist project teams and colleagues whenever needed.

Required Skills and Background

• Hands-on ability with Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, and presentation graphics.
• Strong analytical ability, initiative, and the capacity to work with limited direction.
• Good listening skills, careful follow-through, and a practical approach to solving problems.
• Clear verbal and visual communication skills, plus strong organization and teamwork.
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional post-graduate experience, or relevant A/E/C internship experience.
• A Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree is required.
• Recent experience on architecture projects within the United States.
• Working knowledge of U.S. building codes, permitting steps, and construction practices.
• Interest in continuing professional growth as a designer, architect, or planner.
• Preference for candidates pursuing licensure.
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions; visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $71,000 to $75,000, depending on qualifications. Final placement within the range is based on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and project complexity, with the top of the range reserved for candidates who fully meet the role requirements.
