Job description
About COX
COX is a contemporary, design-led architectural practice with studios across every major Australian city as well as Auckland. The firm has been established for 60 years and operates around a values-based culture. Its guiding idea, "By the Many, For the Many," is supported by four core values: Embody Diversity, Lead with Empathy, Do More with Less, and Create to Last. These values shape expectations for how people work individually, lead others, and collaborate across teams.
Role Overview
COX is looking for Architects, Graduate Architects, and Architectural Technicians to join its North Sydney site office team. The successful candidates will help deliver a major Sydney Metro infrastructure program, supporting the design, documentation, and delivery of station projects. The work will involve technical drawing production, Revit modelling, design development, detailing, and project coordination in a collaborative multidisciplinary setting.
Experience Required
Architect positions call for 7 to 10+ years of experience. Graduate Architect and Architectural Technician roles require 3 to 5+ years of experience.
Qualifications Required
For Architect and Graduate Architect roles, a Master's degree in architecture or a closely related discipline is needed. For Architectural Technician roles, a Diploma or degree in architectural technology, building design, or a similar field is required.
Skills and Experience
Applicants should bring strong Revit modelling, documentation, and detailing capability, along with proven experience on large-scale projects. Background in infrastructure, transport, mixed-use, health, or public-sector environments would be highly relevant. The role also requires an ability to prepare and coordinate technical and construction details, communicate clearly, present ideas effectively, and work well with stakeholders. Candidates should be self-driven, well organised, able to juggle multiple priorities, and show a strong design sensibility with a creative, future-focused mindset. A high level of technical accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as well as proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Application Instructions
Interested candidates should send a cover letter, CV, and portfolio to the contact email provided by the employer.
COX Values
Team members are expected to reflect and support the organisation's values: Embody Diversity, Lead with Empathy, Do More with Less, and Create to Last.
