Architect - Commercial Real Estate Product Development

About the Role

This position focuses on overseeing product development across the commercial real estate project lifecycle—from initial conceptualization and design brief through construction, possession, and ongoing post-possession management. It demands a managerial outlook involving product strategy, coordination across teams, quality assurance, market intelligence, and continuous improvement efforts. The role necessitates collaboration with consultants, internal departments, and business partners to deliver market-relevant, operationally optimized products aligned with the organization's vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility analysis, formulate product strategies, and develop design briefs for new and existing commercial projects.
• Compare and benchmark projects against top-tier national and global commercial developments.
• Identify innovative product features and propose enhancements throughout the project phases.
• Facilitate coordination among architects, engineers, project management consultants, sales, leasing, marketing, and property management to ensure efficient product execution.
• Manage design review sessions, oversee implementation tracking, and maintain alignment among stakeholders at every project stage.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards by performing product audits, deviation tracking, mock-up reviews, and supporting readiness for possession.
• Carry out market research, competitive analysis, infrastructure assessments, and monitor trends influencing product development.
• Analyze customer feedback, request for proposals (RFPs), internal project committee inputs, and evaluate operational efficiencies to inform future projects.
• Prepare presentations, detailed reports, and market benchmarking documents for leadership review.
• Lead training and knowledge dissemination initiatives related to product management across business teams.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) is mandatory; Master of Architecture (M.Arch) preferred; MBA is advantageous.
• Experience range from 3 to 5 years in relevant fields.
• Proficiency in handling Good-for-Construction (GFC) drawings and strong capability in project progress monitoring.
• In-depth knowledge of Green Building standards and sustainability certifications such as IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, BREEAM, Wellness, EDGE aligned with project goals.
• Experience or exposure to interior design, space planning (test fits), and fit-out coordination is considered a plus.
