Job description
Role Overview
Based at the National Support Centre in London SE1, this full-time, permanent position offers a salary ranging from 32,000 to 35,000 annually, depending on experience. The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Apprenticeship Programmes Officer to support the expansion of its marine apprenticeships and adult skill initiatives. This role plays a pivotal part in managing learner progress, compliance, and enhancing the overall learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Apprenticeship Operations Manager in coordinating and delivering apprenticeship and adult education programmes, maximising learner progression and success.
- Track apprentices ttendance, off-the-job training, and progress, providing tailored support to help surmount learning obstacles.
- Implement and manage new learner management systems to enhance data accuracy and visibility of programme performance; support enhancements of digital tools such as Google Classroom and electronic training logs.
- Collaborate with the Lead Maritime Trainer to organize and document virtual teaching and apprentice assessments.
- Develop and organize enrichment and personal growth activities for apprentices; engage with external organisations like the Association of Apprentices to secure benefits for participants.
- Perform other management-assigned duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of two years experience in curriculum or learner support within a college or training provider context.
- Familiarity with Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) pertinent to apprenticeship training.
- Proven ability to plan work-based learning programmes collaboratively within team settings.
- Sound understanding of levy-funded apprenticeship schemes and associated funding regulations.

Remuneration
