What you will do
- Sort and organize field appraisal and task requests using geography and available capacity as the main guides.
- Route appraisal files and photo-based estimates to appraisers and IA partners.
- Assess claims to determine the most appropriate location or appraiser for each file.
- Allocate claims to IA partners when needed.
- Share assignment-distribution information with the leadership team.
- Correct files that have been sent to the wrong destination.
- Work closely with peers and leaders in the Auto PD and Residential claim teams.
- Coordinate regularly with preferred IA partners and Vendor Management.
- Enter appraisal requests into WorkCenter and ClaimCenter.
- Operate as part of a national dispatch group to help keep workloads balanced across the network.
- Ensure files are dispatched promptly to support a strong customer experience.

Strong time management, sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to work independently are important. The role also calls for comfort with changing tools and technology, attention to process gaps, and a proactive mindset for suggesting improvements. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed, while familiarity with WorkCenter and Claims Centre is considered an advantage. Understanding the regions supported by the team is also helpful. Flexibility in working hours may be required, and bilingual ability is preferred.
Compensation and hours
The role is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a work schedule of 35 hours per week. The posted pay range is CAD 44,900 to CAD 65,900. TD notes that compensation is designed to progress over time and may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, location, and business needs.
