We are recruiting an Application Specialist to join our UK sales team covering the South Region, including Reading (RG), Southampton (SO), and Salisbury (SP). This role blends technical expertise with sales-driven, solution-oriented approaches to enhance customer experience and business growth.
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
Your core mission is to provide exceptional customer service by offering expert technical guidance on cutting tools and metalworking applications. Collaboration with Account Managers is critical, supporting them in presenting Sandvik's product offerings both on-site and remotely through technical demonstrations and presentations. You will ensure correct application of Sandvik Coromant products to maximize customer benefit, and support value-driven and cost-saving initiatives to uncover and secure business opportunities.
Candidate Profile and Skills
We seek candidates who bring proven technical experience with engineering cutting tools and a strong understanding of CAD/CAM and metalworking applications. A successful track record in driving business results, customer relationship management, and ideally project management experience is valuable. Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, innovative, and passionate about delivering technical solutions, capable of working independently with team support, and eager to challenge existing processes to unlock potential.
