Application Scientist - Savoury & Pet Food

Overview

Collaborating closely with the R&D and Sales teams, this role involves developing innovative product concepts and serving as both a technical consultant for customers and support to the sales department. The position requires coordination with colleagues nationally and internationally to enhance the product portfolio and deliver novel solutions tailored to customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing customer projects by formulating applications in the lab and fine-tuning application procedures.
• Offering product guidance within areas such as Savoury or Pet Food by leveraging Sensient's color product range.
• Assisting sales and marketing teams during customer demonstrations and new product launches through trials, prototype creation, and product photography.
• Leading technical seminars, training sessions, and presentations centered on innovative color solutions.
• Representing Sensient Food Colors at various trade shows and exhibitions.
• Contributing actively in both national and international project groups.

Qualifications and Skills

• University degree in chemistry, food technology, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience in R&D with comprehensive knowledge of food ingredient development, production, and application processes.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with computerized inventory management systems is an advantage.
• Demonstrates creativity and innovation, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally due to customer engagements.
