Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on supporting HVAC equipment sales for oil and gas projects by handling technical clarifications, equipment selection, and customized product proposals. The role requires a blend of engineering knowledge, commercial awareness, and customer-facing coordination to support bids from enquiry through award and handover.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required. Candidates should bring 2 to 10 years of relevant experience in HVAC and oil and gas environments.
Technical Background
The role calls for hands-on application knowledge of HVAC equipment, including package units, AHUs, chillers, FCUs, split units, condensing units, and similar systems. You should be comfortable reviewing customer requirements, engineering inputs, and project specifications to guide suitable equipment selection and compliance.
Key Duties
- Clarify technical and commercial requirements with customers and consultants.
- Evaluate customer specifications and choose appropriate HVAC equipment for the application.
- Adapt products to meet project-specific needs and technical expectations.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems used in oil and gas projects.
- Study RFQs, tender documents, and project documents to build accurate bids.
- Coordinate with the factory to obtain pricing, technical details, and supporting data.
- Create techno-commercial proposals within the required submission deadlines.
- Review specifications for technical compliance and align submissions with project requirements.
- Support the preparation of submittals and approval packages.
- Assist the sales team with presentations, proposals, and client discussions.
- Join meetings with customers and contribute to technical and commercial negotiations.
- Support contract closure and assist with post-award handover to the execution team.
- Help with variation pricing, commercial clarifications, and cost tracking after project award.
- Monitor cost trends and project performance to improve future estimates.
Commercial and Coordination Skills
The role requires strong cost analysis ability, tender preparation skills, and a basic understanding of contracts and commercial terms. You should also be able to support negotiations and work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.

The role expects close attention to quality, safety, and environmental requirements, along with a commitment to departmental goals and KPIs. You must also follow emergency procedures, evacuation guidance, and incident reporting rules without delay.
