Role Overview
As the Apartment Leasing Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day leasing activity while also helping keep the community running smoothly. This is a hands-on role for someone who can balance sales, resident service, administrative work, and team support.
Key Duties
- Market and lease apartments to support occupancy targets and help drive revenue performance.
- Handle rent collection, post rent payments, and prepare late notices when needed.
- Receive move-out notices, service requests, and resident transfer requests.
- Assist with managerial responsibilities and contribute to efficient daily operations.
- Protect resident confidentiality and keep documentation secure and accurate.
- Prepare reports, paperwork, and leasing records required for the property.
- Help maintain an active social media presence to improve visibility and attract leads.
- Guide, support, and develop the Leasing Agent to improve leasing results.
- Deliver strong customer service to current residents and prospective renters.
- Work closely with the Property Manager and onsite team to help the community succeed.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a polished, organized leasing professional with a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to close leases effectively. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a flexible schedule, including some weekends, and have a stable employment history.
Additional Requirements
- At least 2 years of prior experience as an Assistant Manager in the apartment industry, with strong leasing exposure, is required.
- Strong sales and leasing ability with a demonstrated record of closing prospects.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional attitude, appearance, and work ethic.
- Some weekend availability is required.
- Experience creating social media or marketing content is highly preferred.
- A stable work history is expected.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, though not mandatory.
- Candidates must live within 20 miles of the property or be willing to relocate.
