Position Overview
Claridge Inc. seeks an Analyst to join its Real Estate Investment Team in Montreal, Canada. This role is key in expanding and enhancing the company's real estate portfolio and the Real Estate Funds under management. The analyst will engage in the entire investment cycle, from identifying capital placement chances to actively managing investment returns.
This position offers involvement in significant transactions within a globally operating family office, providing immersion in the complete real estate investment process. Main Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and analyzing financial models including pro forma forecasts, discounted cash flows, waterfall structures, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate acquisition, disposition, and development opportunity returns.
- Monitor portfolio projects closely in partnership with developer teams for asset management purposes.
- Collaborate on financing and refinancing strategy reviews.
- Support the due diligence procedure alongside internal and external experts.
- Prepare investment recommendations for the Investment Committee by summarizing risks, market trends, and opportunities.
- Develop strategic value enhancement plans with operating partners focusing on revenue/expense optimization and capital programs.
- Participate in analyses deciding between holding or selling assets to optimize value realization timing.
- Conduct macroeconomic reviews of Quebec and Canadian real estate sectors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced proficiency with analytical and business tools, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Critical thinking and stress management capabilities.
- Collaborative approach to team projects aimed at shared objectives.
- Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical abilities related to real estate finance.
- Effective time and project management skills to handle deadlines amid competing tasks.
- Understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and transaction architecture.
- Knowledge of the real estate development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and French.
