Role overview

This role sits within Global Banking and Markets and supports investment banking work for the Financial Institutions Group. The position is centered on transaction execution, client presentation preparation, and financial modeling, while working closely with Associates and Associate Directors to assist Directors and Managing Directors in managing client relationships across the sector.

Global Banking and Markets is a long-established capital markets and investment banking platform with a significant presence in the United States and Latin America. The business offers a wide suite of financing, advisory, credit, risk management, and wholesale banking solutions across industries and markets.

What you will do

• Take part in a wide range of investment banking transactions and support their execution.
• Build client presentations, pitch materials, and other marketing documents.
• Help structure and execute transactions, with greater ownership expected over time.
• Evaluate the financing needs of corporate clients and identify potential business opportunities.
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial models and support comprehensive financial statement analysis.
• Gather, organize, and interpret company- and industry-level data.
• Produce written and analytical work on companies and industry trends.
• Apply knowledge of products and capital markets to help clients meet their financial goals.
• Coordinate with product groups and industry teams within GBM.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, external parties, and legal counsel.
• Contribute to a high-performing, inclusive team culture while meeting individual and team objectives.
• Ensure all work follows applicable regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings early-career investment banking exposure, strong analytical ability, and comfort working with financial theory, accounting, and quantitative analysis. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly are important for success in this role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, is expected. The position also requires obtaining and maintaining the FINRA registration and licenses relevant to the responsibilities of the role.

Compensation

The indicated salary range is USD 120,000 to USD 130,000 per year. This range is provided as guidance only, and the actual offer may differ depending on the selected candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
