PayrAdvisors Consulting Group is a U.S.-based healthcare advisory firm focused on payer contracting, market positioning, reimbursement improvement, and complex negotiation support for physician practices, ambulatory surgery center platforms, infusion centers, hospitals, and private equity-backed providers. The firm helps growing healthcare organizations strengthen payer rates, address reimbursement issues, and improve financial performance.

The company is growing its managed care practice and is looking for a highly organized, detail-focused Payer Contract / Managed Care Analyst to assist with client work, analytics, and internal coordination.

This is an entry-level consulting position that supports payer contracting initiatives, data review, contract administration, and operational workflows across multiple client engagements. The role works closely with Associates, Senior Analysts, and Principals, and offers early-career exposure to healthcare organizations, reimbursement analysis, payer negotiations, and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

The analyst will support contract administration by gathering, reviewing, and organizing payer agreements, fee schedules, W-9s, provider rosters, credentialing records, and similar documents. The role also includes maintaining contract libraries, keeping version control accurate, sending contract requests and NDAs to payers, and monitoring negotiation progress and contract status in tools such as Smartsheet, Excel, and internal systems.

On the analytics side, the position involves checking client datasets such as claims files, CPT code volumes, and RVUs so they are ready for modeling. The analyst will help review payer fee schedules, reimbursement patterns, and rate differences, while also assisting with proposal models, scenario analysis, internal reporting, and client-ready deliverables.

Client and team support is another important part of the role. This includes joining client and payer calls when needed, preparing meeting agendas and summaries, tracking next steps, supporting negotiation strategy with the consulting team, and helping build PowerPoint slides for presentations and status updates.

Operationally, the analyst will ensure files are stored securely, maintain documentation standards across engagements, and contribute to improving internal workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a similar discipline. The role calls for 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare, payer or provider operations, analytics, or consulting.

Strong organization, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage several tasks and deadlines in a fast-moving environment are essential. Candidates should be confident using Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables, and should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Professionalism and discretion are important because the work involves sensitive information.

Preferred background includes internships or prior work with a healthcare provider, payer, consulting firm, or revenue cycle/analytics team. Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS coding, payer fee schedules, reimbursement concepts, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or related project management tools is an advantage.
