Role overview
The Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting plays an important part within the FP&A team, supporting consolidated reporting, management reporting, and planning activities across Range Group and related entities.
This position brings together strong financial fundamentals, systems capability, and partnership with the business. The role supports the preparation of consolidated management-view financial statements, contributes to monthly and quarterly reporting packs, helps improve automation, and assists with ERP implementation and reporting architecture upgrades.
The right candidate is detail-focused, interested in or working toward a CPA designation, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment where both technical skills and business collaboration matter.
Key responsibilities
- Help prepare consolidated management financial statements for several entities and currencies.
- Support consolidation schedules, intercompany eliminations from a management perspective, and bridge analyses for reporting.
- Keep the link between statutory reporting structures and management reporting structures up to date.
- Make sure monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packs are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Assist with variance analysis and the preparation of reporting commentary.
- Contribute to monthly management reporting, including KPI dashboards and performance analysis.
- Work with business unit stakeholders to understand financial results and the key drivers behind costs.
- Turn financial data into practical insights that support decisions.
- Take ownership of the monthly management reporting package, including KPI dashboards and analytics.
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting cycles.
- Maintain planning templates and driver-based forecasting models.
- Coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams during planning exercises.
- Help ensure operational inputs align with financial forecasts.
- Support ongoing improvements to reporting processes using Excel, Power Query, and similar tools.
- Assist with ERP implementation and finance system enhancement work.
- Help automate recurring reports and reconciliations.
- Maintain data accuracy and support improvements to reporting architecture.
- Contribute to reporting work in tools such as Vena and/or Power BI.
- Assist in documenting and standardizing reporting processes.
- Work effectively in an environment where priorities may change.
- Support integration work related to acquisitions or organizational change.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A colleagues and partners across the business.
- Support senior team members with ad hoc analysis and special projects.
- Help build a collaborative, high-performance, low-ego team culture.
- Develop strong working relationships across the organization.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting.
- CPA designation in progress, or an interest in pursuing CPA, is preferred.
- Working knowledge of financial statements and core accounting principles.
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and solid analytical thinking.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Strong Excel capability, with Power Query or Power Pivot experience considered an asset.

Compensation and additional information
The role offers a competitive pay-for-performance compensation approach. Employees may also be eligible to participate in incentive programs and compensation linked to both business and individual results. The expected salary range is CAD 80,000 to CAD 100,000.
Final compensation may differ based on local market conditions, geography, and job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education or training.
