This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a highly analytical professional with deep experience in costing, financial controls, MIS, budgeting, and strategic finance within manufacturing or FMCG environments.

Plant finance responsibilities

• Oversee plant profit and loss, product costing, and variance reviews.
• Coordinate month-end financial closing with operations and finance teams.
• Maintain tight inventory controls, stock verification, and accurate valuation.
• Track capital expenditure projects, asset capitalization, and return-on-investment analysis.
• Lead initiatives that reduce cost and improve processes.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for plant activities.

Business finance responsibilities

• Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and periodic business performance summaries.
• Support annual budgets and rolling forecast cycles.
• Analyze product profitability, pricing, and gross margin performance.
• Create financial models and provide strategic insights for decision-making.
• Use scenario analysis and ROI evaluations to support management decisions.
• Promote automation and digital tools for more efficient reporting.

Skills and competency expectations

• Strong command of manufacturing accounting, costing, and financial analysis.
• Ability to communicate clearly and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Working knowledge of SAP is mandatory.
• Strong ownership, execution focus, and business-partner mindset.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, dynamic business setting.

Qualifications and experience

• CA qualification is required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance, plant finance, costing, or business finance.
• Background in FMCG or manufacturing will be an added advantage.
• Prior exposure to budgeting, MIS reporting, financial controls, and strategic finance is expected.
