Role Overview
This is a full-time remote position for an Aluminum Fitter / Finishing Carpenter. The role involves measuring, cutting, assembling, fitting, and installing aluminum frames, doors, windows, partitions, and related parts as per project requirements. You will also read technical drawings, prepare materials, complete finishing carpentry tasks, and ensure installations are neat, accurate, and aligned with standards. The job includes troubleshooting issues at project locations, coordinating with project managers and other trades, and working in line with safety and quality expectations. While the position is administered remotely, travel to project sites will be required whenever needed.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to handle aluminum fitting and finishing carpentry work from preparation through final installation.
- Measure, cut, drill, assemble, and install aluminum doors, windows, frames, partitions, and similar components.
- Perform finishing carpentry work such as trimming, framing, detailed fitting, and door/window installation.
- Review and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to complete accurate site work.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including saws, drills, grinders, levels, and measuring instruments.
- Maintain strong workmanship standards and ensure clean, precise finishing on every installation.
- Identify and resolve site-level issues during installation or execution.
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other trades to keep work aligned with project needs.
- Follow site safety practices, company policies, and applicable construction safety requirements.
- Manage time well, work independently when required, and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in aluminum fitting, including accurate measuring, cutting, drilling, assembling, and installation work.
- Practical skill in finishing carpentry, including trimming, framing, door and window fitting, and detailed finishing.
- Ability to understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions and apply them correctly on site.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, levels, and measuring tools.
- Good understanding of construction safety practices and compliance with relevant safety rules and company procedures.
- Strong eye for detail and a quality-first approach to achieving precise measurements and neat results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with supervisors, managers, and other trades.
- Capability to work on your own, stay organized, and handle shifting project demands.
- Prior experience in aluminum fitting, finishing carpentry, or a related construction/installation role is an advantage.
- High school education or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry, metalwork, or construction trades is a plus.
