Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Aluminium Joinery Estimator in Auckland who will be responsible for producing precise cost estimates and quotations for aluminium joinery and facade projects. This involves analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents, coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project needs, sourcing accurate pricing, and ensuring estimates meet budget and schedule expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and quantify materials required for projects.
- Update and manage cost databases.
- Evaluate project risks and assist sales and project management teams with cost-related inquiries.
- Track market price trends and propose value engineering solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all estimates and proposals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in construction or facade systems estimating, preferably in aluminium joinery or related sectors.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and tender documents.
- Familiarity with estimating software, take-off tools, spreadsheets, and general computer applications for data handling.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with high accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Understanding of New Zealand building standards, construction industry practices, and tender or contract procedures is advantageous.
- Relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work onsite in Auckland, prioritize multiple tasks, and demonstrate a proactive and safety-first mindset.
