This opportunity is with a partner company that handles the application process and all follow-up steps directly. The employer is seeking an Alliances & Partnerships Lead focused on AWS, based in Ireland.
The role is part of a fast-scaling AI consultancy working deeply within the AWS ecosystem. It centers on building strategic relationships, converting partner connections into a reliable flow of enterprise prospects, and shaping how AI and cloud consulting services are positioned to both business and technical audiences. You will oversee the complete commercial journey, beginning with early relationship development and co-sell alignment and continuing through proposals, negotiation, and signed agreements. In partnership with technical teams, you will help turn complex AI capabilities into practical, commercially compelling solutions. This is a high-visibility position with a direct influence on revenue growth, partner presence, and longer-term expansion across the AWS landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full partnership and commercial sales process, from building AWS ecosystem relationships through deal completion and post-sale account expansion.
- Grow strategic connections with AWS account managers, partner development managers, and field sales teams across EMEA, the US, and other priority regions.
- Lead co-sell activity, including joint proposals, AWS Marketplace opportunities, partner-hosted events, and demand-generation initiatives driven through the ecosystem.
- Present AI and cloud capabilities in a way that is relevant and persuasive for both technical and enterprise stakeholders, including support for pitches, proposals, and executive-level presentations.
- Take ownership of negotiations, procurement coordination, and contract execution while keeping stakeholders aligned throughout the process.
- Strengthen AWS partnership standing by supporting co-sell performance measures, certifications, and partner-tier requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and delivery functions to confirm solution feasibility and support successful client onboarding.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in alliances, partnerships, channel sales, or ecosystem-led business development.
- A track record of creating and closing pipeline through partner channels rather than only managing existing accounts.
- Solid technical understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, along with AI/ML or data infrastructure, and the ability to speak credibly with CTOs and solution architects.
- Proven experience handling the full deal lifecycle, including presentations, proposals, negotiations, and enterprise contract closure.
- Strong communication and relationship-building ability, with confidence working with both technical and senior business stakeholders.
- A strong commercial orientation and comfort operating in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
- Experience with AWS consulting partners, system integrators, or cloud-native ecosystems is an advantage.
- Exposure to AI, cybersecurity, fintech, or similar enterprise SaaS sectors is helpful.
