Job description

About the Property

Raffles & Fairmont the Red Sea is part of the kingdom’s landmark Red Sea Project and is designed to welcome guests into two nature-led resorts. The development includes 361 rooms, 11 dining experiences, an overwater restaurant with views of the Red Sea and mangroves, and a spa.

Raffles The Red Sea is positioned as a refined luxury retreat within Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea destination. It combines Raffles’ signature warmth and highly personalized service with the area’s natural beauty and sustainability-led vision to create an exceptional stay for discerning travelers.

Role Overview

The Airport Greeter will be the first point of contact for arriving guests, ensuring a polished, seamless, and brand-consistent welcome at the airport. This role focuses on coordinating arrivals, supporting luggage handling, assisting VIP guests, and resolving basic travel-related issues while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality etiquette.

Core Responsibilities

  • Track the daily guest arrival schedule and flight details so that every expected arrival is met at the terminal on time.
  • Welcome guests at the arrival area with a personalised signboard and use their name immediately in a warm, brand-aligned greeting.
  • Work with the Chief Concierge to arrange the right number of hotel vehicles and ensure they are clean, presentable, and equipped to brand standards.
  • Support guests with baggage collection and transfer from the carousel to the vehicle, taking care to handle all luggage safely and securely.
  • Notify the Front Office and Butler teams without delay when VIP guests are on the way.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with airport staff, immigration, and customs representatives to help guests move through the airport smoothly.
  • Handle guest-facing issues such as delayed flights, missing luggage, or transport disruptions, and escalate complaints to the Chief Concierge when needed.
  • Anticipate guest needs in a proactive, luxury-service manner, including offering items such as water or a cold towel before being asked.
  • Maintain a spotless, professional appearance at all times as the face of the hotel in a public airport environment.
  • Communicate clearly in professional English and interact with international guests with cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Experience and Qualifications

This position generally requires at least 2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel setting, ideally with exposure to Bell or Door services. Prior experience in pre-opening operations is mandatory. The role also calls for experience in project coordination, scheduling, and document control during pre-opening stages.

Candidates must be physically able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy luggage. A solid understanding of airport terminal layouts, hotel facilities, and local area highlights is important for answering guest queries during the welcome process. Applicants should also have a strong grasp of ultra-luxury guest expectations, ownership mindset, accountability, and impeccable grooming standards.

Additional Information

The position demands a highly proactive and anticipatory approach, with a strong sense of responsibility. Personal presentation must consistently reflect luxury standards, and the role requires alignment with the brand’s ultra-luxury service style.
