Role overview
Queensland Airports Limited is hiring a full-time Airport Facilities Coordinator for Townsville Airport. This permanent role focuses on overseeing airport assets, keeping maintenance activities on track, and identifying where capital works may be needed. You will also coordinate internal and external resources to deliver maintenance and repair services that are efficient, reliable, and cost-conscious across regional airports.
What you’ll do
- Look after the asset register and keep maintenance schedules current in the Asset Management System.
- Coordinate work allocated to internal maintenance staff and outside maintenance providers.
- Work with the Asset Services Manager to assign and rank maintenance jobs for the team and contractors.
- Keep the airport maintenance framework and schedules updated in the CMMS.
- Track maintenance spending against budget and escalate to the Maintenance Operations Manager if costs are expected to go over the monthly limit.
What the role asks for
The ideal candidate is highly organised and communicates clearly in both written and verbal form. A background in trade work, maintenance, projects, or planning is preferred, and a relevant qualification would be an advantage. Experience or knowledge of the aviation or airport sector is desirable. This position includes on-call duties, with an on-call allowance provided.
