Role overview
Queensland Airports Limited is hiring a permanent full-time Aerodrome Reporting Officer to join the Gold Coast Airport Aviation team in Gold Coast, Queensland. This role focuses on maintaining safe, secure and efficient airside operations while supporting airline partners and other stakeholders through reliable aerodrome serviceability and management of hazards that could affect aircraft movement.
What the role involves
The Aerodrome Reporting Officer helps ensure the airside environment remains operational to a high standard. The position is responsible for monitoring airport safety and security, managing wildlife and other operational hazards, and keeping aerodrome serviceability records accurate and up to date.
Key duties
- Maintain safe and secure airside operations in line with applicable regulations and company standard operating procedures.
- Inspect, enforce and document safety and security matters across the airport in accordance with the Aviation Transport Security Regulations 2005.
- Carry out the Bird and Wildlife Management Plan requirements.
- Prepare aerodrome serviceability reports accurately and promptly, and escalate any issues to the aviation management team without delay.
What is needed to succeed
To perform well in this position, you should bring prior experience in aviation and emergency operations, stay composed in high-pressure situations, and be able to respond effectively when difficult issues arise. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of aerodrome regulations.
Additional notes
Having a firearms licence is considered an advantage, but it is not mandatory to apply.
