Team Overview

You will join the Corporate Services Systems R&D team in ByteDance’s Corporate Information division, tasked with creating and enhancing corporate service systems such as procurement, business travel, and workplace services. Our goal is to support ByteDance's global expansion while improving employee efficiency and experience.

We are actively driving the AI-native evolution of these business service systems, redefining employee interactions via AI technologies. Concurrently, the team develops AI Coding solutions and pioneers innovative workflows linking product requirements, software development, validation, and deployment.

Role Details

This position offers the chance to gain comprehensive knowledge in complex corporate service domains while leveraging advanced AI engineering tech. Early career contributors will have meaningful opportunities to impact both products and their technical foundations.

Candidates must commit to joining by year-end and clearly indicate their availability and graduation date on their resumes. You may apply to a maximum of two roles globally across ByteDance and its affiliates, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze corporate service scenarios to deliver full-stack functionalities from design through release, monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement.
• Create user-friendly, reliable, and performant web applications that streamline complex workflows and embed AI capabilities transparently for users.
• Design and implement backend APIs, service logic, data processing, and integrations using Node.js, Golang, Java, or Python, ensuring scalability and stability.
• Support the AI-native transformation of enterprise systems, contribute to AI Agent feature development, and help build AI Coding tools integrating product demands and delivery.
• Enhance frontend and full-stack infrastructure and developer tools to boost efficiency, code quality, and system robustness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers across disciplines to solve complex challenges and deliver end-to-end solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines; eligible for the 2027 graduate hiring program.
• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 with practical experience in TypeScript and React.
• Knowledge of modern frontend engineering concepts, including component architecture, state handling, build systems, and modular design.
• Backend development project experience in at least one of Node.js, Golang, Java, or Python.
• Able to independently craft backend APIs, implement business rules, integrate services, and troubleshoot cross-system issues.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, able to design, implement, test, and maintain full-stack features.
• Experience in AI-related projects, research, internships, or personal AI application development.
• Strong logical reasoning and independent problem-solving capability to approach complex or ambiguous problems.
• Proficient English communication skills for effective teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience owning full-stack projects via internships, academics, open-source, or personal work.
• Experience maintaining backend services alongside frontend applications.
• Development of AI-driven apps, Agent-based products, AI Coding tools, or developer productivity enhancements.
• Familiarity with frontend ecosystems and engineering patterns such as Redux, Webpack, and monorepos.
• Experience enhancing application speed, engineering workflows, stability, or developer tools.
• Self-driven, curious about applying emerging AI innovations into practical products.
