About the Role
Join a pioneering next-gen content team focused on merging creative storytelling with AI-driven processes to create impactful, engaging short-form and digital content that captivates audiences and drives measurable business results. We seek a Video Editor who sees editing as an art of storytelling and audience engagement, not just clipping footage.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality edits for both short and long-form videos tailored for social and digital channels.
- Convert raw footage into captivating narratives featuring strong hooks and dynamic pacing.
- Design videos optimized to maximize viewer retention and platform effectiveness.
- Employ AI technologies to enhance editing speed, idea generation, captions, visual effects, and workflow management.
- Collaborate closely with content strategists, writers, and creative teams during content development phases.
- Integrate motion graphics, smooth transitions, sound design, and visual upgrades where applicable.
- Refine video content based on analytical insights, including retention and engagement metrics.
- Keep abreast of evolving editing trends, AI innovations, and platform standards.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, meeting stringent deadlines consistently.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro with robust editing foundations.
- Solid working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and animations.
- Experience with fast-editing platforms such as CapCut.
- Strong storytelling capabilities alongside an understanding of viewer psychology and retention tactics.
- Competency in sound design and color correction techniques.
- Ability to maintain quality under tight time constraints.
Preferred AI Tool Expertise
- Experience with AI creative tools including ChatGPT, Runway, Kling AI, Veo, HeyGen, Adobe Firefly, ElevenLabs, Descript, CapCut AI, Midjourney, or similar.
Preferred Background
- Experience in advertising agencies, digital marketing, creator economy, production houses, media companies, D2C brands, content studios, or startups is advantageous.
- Exceptional candidates from other sectors with strong creative portfolios are welcome.
Education and Eligibility
- Skills take precedence over formal education.
- Preferred qualifications include Bachelor's degree in any discipline, media/design/animation courses, or video editing diplomas.
- Self-taught candidates with compelling portfolios are encouraged to apply.
