Role overview

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its UKI AI & Data practice in Ireland. This full-time permanent position is intended for an experienced professional who can design, build, deploy, and manage AI solutions while working with clients across business and technology teams. The role sits within a globally connected, collaborative environment focused on helping organisations become more insight-driven and data-enabled.

The opportunity is based in Ireland, with locations noted across Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you will do

  • Create AI solution concepts and translate them into practical technical designs.
  • Develop, deploy, and/or manage AI solutions using modern tools and approaches.
  • Work with technologies such as Python, Git, SQL, and related platforms where relevant.
  • Engage confidently with clients across both business and technology functions.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships that support long-term client engagement.
  • Guide and supervise junior team members and client-side staff, including review and quality checks of deliverables.
  • Respond thoughtfully to client needs and provide subject matter guidance.
  • Approach ambiguous problems with adaptability and a practical mindset to shape innovative solutions.
  • Continue strengthening your technical, functional, and professional capabilities through ongoing learning.
  • Use strong written, verbal, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills in day-to-day work.
  • Research client queries and emerging topics such as regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
  • Show interest in connecting operational work with technology-driven methods.

What EY is looking for

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in AI design, development, deployment, or management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant technical tools such as Python, TensorFlow, Jupyter Notebook, Spark, Azure Cloud, Git, Docker, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability for complex assignments.
  • Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Additional language ability is considered an advantage.
