About the Role
Join TELUS International AI Inc. as an AI Consulting Governance & Strategy Specialist working remotely and part-time. In this role, you will partner with executive stakeholders to pinpoint impactful AI use cases aligned with business strategies and expected returns. You will be responsible for creating and implementing AI governance frameworks covering accountability, policy, and ethical standards. Furthermore, you will spearhead compliance and risk management aligned with regulations such as the EU AI Act, GDPR, and NIST RMF. You will also develop methodologies to ensure AI explainability, fairness, and ethical decision-making within the organization. Leading workshops and training sessions to elevate AI knowledge and ethical adoption across teams forms a crucial part of your duties.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with leadership to identify valuable AI opportunities tied to business goals and ROI targets.
- Design and roll out AI governance structures, including accountability frameworks, policies, and ethical review mechanisms.
- Lead initiatives focused on regulatory adherence and risk management consistent with major standards like the EU AI Act, GDPR, and NIST RMF.
- Create frameworks promoting AI transparency, fairness, and ethical decisions.
- Organize and deliver educational programs enhancing AI literacy, ethical AI practices, and data-driven decision-making within the company.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional experience relevant to the role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law (digital or technology emphasis), management information systems, ethics, philosophy, or related areas; MBA or JD degrees are preferred.
- Native-level fluency in the primary language plus intermediate English skills (B1 level).
- Deep understanding of applicable regional legal and regulatory frameworks and capability to engage with stakeholders locally.
- Ability to work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Indian Standard Time consistently given the company's operating hours.
Additional Information
- Position offers a part-time, fully remote work arrangement with flexible hours aligning to Indian Standard Time.
