Role overview
This opportunity is for an Agile Transformation Lead / Scrum Master Lead based in the United States. The role focuses on guiding large-scale agile change across several project teams that support complex technology initiatives. You will help define delivery practices, strengthen collaboration, and promote continuous improvement across varied development settings. The position blends coaching, facilitation, and program leadership, with a strong emphasis on improving agility, delivery efficiency, and alignment to business goals. It also supports modernization work in both cloud environments and older legacy systems.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main authority on agile methods, building, refining, and sustaining agile frameworks across multiple teams.
- Drive organization-wide agile change by encouraging Scrum practices, agile standards, and ongoing improvement.
- Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, team leads, and stakeholders to raise agile maturity and execution quality.
- Run program-level agile events such as planning meetings, retrospectives, roadmap conversations, and cross-team coordination.
- Keep several teams aligned so agile practices are applied consistently and collaboration stays effective across workstreams.
- Work with stakeholders to make sure delivery practices support mission goals, strategic priorities, and measurable results.
- Spot and help eliminate organizational blockers, build transparency, and reinforce accountability and learning.
- Support cloud modernization and legacy system efforts by adapting agile practices to the needs of each project.
- Track agile metrics and suggest changes that improve productivity, delivery quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or an equivalent agile credential.
- At least 8 years of experience leading agile teams in federal, government, or commercial settings.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting large, multi-team programs with complex delivery needs.
- Proven ability to scale agile practices across multiple simultaneous teams and large cross-functional organizations.
- Deep understanding of Scrum, agile frameworks, servant leadership, and agile transformation approaches.
- Experience applying agile delivery methods in environments that include cloud-native development and legacy application support.
- Familiarity with AWS, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience mentoring Scrum Masters, delivering agile training, and leading program-level planning and retrospectives.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
