Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering direct clinical care to patients, encompassing assessment, planning, and execution of nursing care plans during their shift. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, promoting adherence to safety protocols, ensuring cost-efficient nursing practices, and managing staff competency and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer patient care according to nursing procedures and established safety guidelines.
- Contribute to initiatives in quality improvement, infection prevention, and risk management.
- Develop and implement patient care plans within medical protocols aiming for optimal discharge outcomes.
- Carry out Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies, with proficiency in hospital emergency codes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of accredited nursing education.
- Possession of current nursing licensure, certification, or registration as legally mandated.
- Preferably holds CPR certification.
- Demonstrated clinical reasoning, leadership capabilities, and thorough understanding of healthcare safety standards.
