Role overview
This position is based in Nigeria and reports to the Regional Business Head. It is open only to local nationals. The role calls for 8 to 12 years of experience and is focused on expanding Adobe’s business across Sub-Saharan Africa.
The person in this role will own the Adobe vendor relationship, strengthen partner networks, build business plans, widen the sales pipeline, and help deliver revenue and profitability objectives across the region.
What you will do
- Serve as the main point of contact for Adobe and manage the overall strategic relationship.
- Create and implement business plans aimed at meeting revenue and margin targets.
- Identify, onboard, enable, and support channel partners throughout the region.
- Oversee business operations across several Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Develop the sales pipeline and improve the accuracy of forecasting.
- Work closely with Sales, Presales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.
Experience and background needed
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a similar field is required. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Product Management, Vendor Management, Business Development, Channel Management, or Sales within an IT distributor.
Applicants should also bring experience handling enterprise software or cloud vendors such as Adobe, Microsoft, or AWS, along with exposure to Sub-Saharan African markets.
Key capabilities
The right candidate should be strong in vendor management, commercial planning, partner development, revenue and margin control, executive communication, stakeholder management, and analytical decision-making. Neutral English communication is also important.
Performance measures
Success in this role will be judged by revenue delivery, gross margin performance, quality of the vendor relationship, partner recruitment and activation, pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, program or rebate attainment, and expansion across regional markets.
Ideal candidate profile
The preferred candidate is typically a 10 to 12-year IT distribution professional who is currently leading a business unit or vendor practice. They should have end-to-end ownership of a Microsoft, AWS, or Adobe portfolio, experience managing teams, responsibility for revenue and profitability, and a track record of driving enterprise software or cloud business through partner ecosystems while meeting commercial goals.
