Role Overview

The Strategy Consultant / Admissions Counsellor will work closely with students to shape long-term academic and extracurricular roadmaps. The role involves partnering with the wider Crimson team to strengthen each student’s candidacy throughout the application journey.

This position is available as a full-time remote role or from one of the company’s offices globally. Part-time applicants may also be considered if they can commit at least 25 to 30+ hours per week and bring a highly sought-after background.

Key Responsibilities

• Build tailored admissions strategies and translate them into practical action plans in coordination with the student’s broader support team.
• Apply strong knowledge of high school curricula, leadership and extracurricular planning, summer program options, and standardized testing timelines to advise students effectively.
• Use familiarity with universities and admissions pathways to help students and parents choose realistic, well-matched school lists that improve acceptance outcomes.
• Run formal consulting meetings with students every two weeks and document decisions, next steps, and updates for relevant stakeholders.
• Stay in reasonable contact with students and families between scheduled sessions through channels such as email.
• Help create and present promotional material for seminars and expos in local markets when needed.
• Work with local sales teams during initial consultations to support client understanding and investment in Crimson’s offerings.
• Contribute to product and resource development efforts that improve the service overall.

Skills and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree from a top 20 US university or Oxford/Cambridge is preferred; candidates with undergraduate admissions consulting experience may receive special consideration.
• Prior experience in US or UK undergraduate admissions consulting at top universities is strongly preferred.
• A genuine interest in mentoring young adults and an appreciation for international viewpoints are important.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and project coordination skills are needed; experience in event coordination or product management is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
• Ability to manage relationships with students, parents, and internal teams is required.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapting quickly to change is important.
• Background in education, coaching, tutoring, or admissions advisory work is preferred.
