About the Role

Chandigarh University is looking for energetic and goal-oriented Admission Counsellors to be part of their admissions team. The position involves assisting prospective students and their parents by providing guidance on academic choices, handling inquiries, and successfully converting prospective leads into enrollments. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication, strong counseling capabilities, and a focus on results to help students make well-informed academic decisions while supporting the university’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct over 100 outbound calls daily to potential students and their families from designated databases.
  • Manage inbound communications professionally via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Perform cold calling and ensure timely follow-up on leads.
  • Keep precise records of all interactions, follow-ups, and lead statuses using CRM systems.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as call volume, conversion rates, and enrollments on daily, weekly, and monthly bases.
  • Meet defined admission and enrollment targets.
  • Counsel students and parents about academic programs, eligibility criteria, admission processes, fee details, scholarships, and deadlines.
  • Evaluate student profiles to suggest appropriate academic courses.
  • Develop trust and sustain long-term relationships with potential students.
  • Guide applicants from initial inquiry through to successful enrollment.
  • Utilize counseling and persuasion techniques effectively to convert leads into admissions.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum educational qualification of a bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in admission counseling, telecalling, education sales, or related areas.
  • Experience in the Education or EdTech sectors is preferable.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Proficiency in admission conversion and nurturing leads.
  • Ability to counsel students and manage relationships effectively.
  • Experience using CRM software and lead management tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in objection handling and negotiation.
  • Strong follow-up and engagement capabilities.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office.
  • Preferred proficiency in English communication.
  • Confident, persuasive, and target-focused demeanor.
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Professionalism and patience when responding to student queries.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced and results-oriented environment.
