Job description

Role overview

This is a six-month fixed-term opportunity for an Administrator to support the supply chain team from site. The position runs Monday to Friday and is based in Redcar, England, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will deliver day-to-day administrative and transactional support for supply chain activity. Your work will help ensure goods receipts, inventory changes, purchase orders, and logistics tasks are handled accurately, on time, and in line with company procedures. You will liaise with suppliers, transport partners, and internal colleagues to keep materials and finished goods moving smoothly across the business.

Key duties

  • Enter and track goods and service receipts in the ERP system, making sure transactions are completed accurately and within required timelines.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound logistics by coordinating with internal teams and outside service providers.
  • Handle supply chain transactions connected to transport, consumables, inventory changes, and other operational work.
  • Keep stock records up to date through system maintenance, transaction handling, and reconciliation of inventory.
  • Monitor supplier purchase orders and ensure receipt, invoice processing, and order closure are completed correctly.
  • Maintain supply chain files and documentation while supporting suppliers and internal teams with query resolution and general administration.

What you need

  • Prior experience in supply chain, logistics, materials management, or a similar administrative position.
  • Hands-on experience using ERP systems for transaction processing and data entry; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience would be an advantage.
  • A careful approach with strong attention to detail and the ability to keep records accurate.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, including the ability to handle several priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to support a wide variety of supply chain tasks.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability to identify and resolve transaction-related issues.
