Job description
Overview
NASA is offering multiple positions within various organizations at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL. These roles span multiple series (GS-0301, 0343, 0346) and grade levels from GS-09 to GS-15. The duties described apply primarily at the highest grade level advertised; roles at lower levels will involve less complexity and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive organizational studies and program assessments to evaluate effectiveness, propose enhancements, and develop actionable strategies for senior decision-makers.
- Oversee enterprise-wide programs and operations with broad scope, setting goals, evaluating results, and aligning priorities with leadership directives.
- Coordinate and support daily onsite ground processing operations ensuring integration across contractors, divisions, and programs.
- Develop operational schedules, manage resource coordination, and proactively address emerging operational challenges.
- Communicate complex operational issues and recommendations clearly to senior program executives and stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on intricate programmatic and administrative matters impacting organizational strategy.
- For supervisory roles: manage full supervisory duties including task assignment, performance evaluations, personnel recommendations, disciplinary actions, and employee development planning.
Qualification Requirements

- Employment may include a one-year probationary period based on federal regulations.
- Clearance and background investigations are required as per NASA center policies.
- Comprehensive experience levels range from GS-09 to GS-15, with specific specialized experience and/or advanced academic credentials required for each grade:
- GS-09: One year specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 or relevant master’s degree or equivalent graduate education.
- GS-11: One year specialized experience at GS-09 level or a doctoral degree/three years graduate education.
- GS-12 to GS-15: Progressive one-year specialized experience at the previous GS level with increasing responsibilities including program, administrative, and advisory functions.
