About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Administration Officer to deliver expert administrative support and advice to Community Operations within the Victorian Public Service. This is an ongoing, full-time position offering work with a dedicated and high-performing team. The role is classified at VPS Grade VPS2, offering a salary range of $62,104 to $79,753 plus superannuation.
About the Business Unit
The Reintegration and Engagement Services Division, part of Corrections Victoria, pioneers evidence-based, best practice interventions aimed at minimizing repeat offending and enhancing community safety. Their responsibilities encompass maintaining quality assurance systems for risk assessments and case management, delivering clinical intervention programs, and supporting transition and reintegration efforts. Additionally, the Division manages Victoria's post-sentence scheme, a civil and non-punitive program supervising serious sex and/or violent offenders post-sentence who pose a substantive risk of further offences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception activities at Rivergum, including handling over-the-counter and telephone inquiries.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and perform basic correspondence duties.
- Provide HR and finance administrative support, including payroll processing.
- Administer vehicle fleet operations and conduct general administrative tasks.
- Offer administrative assistance to the Management team and guidance to staff.
- Process accounts payable efficiently and support financial administration.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced user of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Competent in Oracle Procurement and Accounts Payable systems.
- Skilled in electronic filing and information management systems.
Additional Information
The successful applicant will be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may involve reference checks, national police checks, misconduct screening, medical assessments, VicRoads and driver license verification, Working with Children Checks, and declarations regarding private interests where applicable.
